It's been a while now that I have been thinking about how to bring my crafting joy to you. So I have finally decided to create this space — to share my creative projects, where you can also enjoy freebies and ideas to get your creativity flowing!
What better way to get this blog started than with a handcrafted gift for Mom? With Mother's Day just a few days away, I put together a pretty sweet activity to work on with my little one. He is at a stage where he loves colouring, so to share my passion and encourage his creativity, I traced a few flowers and, using my cutting machine, added perforations to make the motifs detachable.
We had so much fun colouring and decorating this worksheet that turns into handcrafted jewels for Mom. 🌸
I have created a free printable that you can download! If you have a cutting machine, simply add the print registartions, print it and then run it through your cutter for the perforations. If you don't have access to a cutting machine like a Cameo or a Cricut, no worries — you can still do this activity by cutting the flowers out with scissors and using a small hole-puncher.
Once you have your worksheet ready, below are the steps to put this activity together. I'm also adding a link to my social media where you'll find a quick how-to video!
If you make use of this activity, please share it with me on Instagram. I would love to see your creations.
Hope you enjoy, and happy crafting! 💛

Crafting activity for kids — Colour Me Jewelry, a gift for Mom!
Materials:
Printed and perforated worksheet. Scissors and small hole-puncher if the worksheet is not perforated
Crayons or coloured pencils
Sparkly bead stickers or glue and glitter
Thin lace or ribbon.
This activity may require an adult's assistance depending on your child's age.
Once your worksheet is ready, here's how to bring it to life:
Colour the flowers.
Carefully detach the flowers from the paper. Use scissors and small hole-puncher if the worksheet is not perforated.
Add some sparkle with beads or glitter — get creative!
Using a string, thread the small flowers to make a necklace.
Use a ribbon to thread the bracelet, and a longer ribbon for the headpiece.
The result: A beautiful handcrafted piece — a pretty sweet gift from your little one. ✨💛
Creating this activity with my son felt so special. I hope you enjoy it too!
